Accessibility at Timeless Rides
Whatever you are using to read this, we want you to be able to see the rate, reserve a ride and reach Zola. Here is how we build for that, what the button in the corner does, and how to tell us when something is in your way.
The standard we build to
We build to WCAG 2.2, Level AA, the international standard for accessible websites, at the level sites are usually measured against. On every page here: headings are real headings, so the page reads as an outline; images that carry meaning have a description and the decorative ones are marked so a screen reader skips them; whatever you focus gets a visible outline, and the Tab key moves through the page in reading order; nothing plays sound on its own; and if your device is set to reduce motion, the opening animation and the background film stop on a still frame.
The button in the corner
It opens a short panel of settings: larger text, reduced motion, higher contrast and underlined links. Your choice is saved on your own device and takes effect before the page appears. It is not a third-party accessibility overlay. It does not change what a screen reader or other assistive technology gets from the page, and turning a setting off puts the page back the way it was. The work is in the pages themselves; the panel is a convenience on top.
What we know is not perfect
Address suggestions in the quote come from a map provider, and the online reservation form and payment page are a separate application at book.timelessrides.us. We are working through both. You never need either to reserve: a text to Zola at (248) 440-7357 does everything this site does, and she confirms every detail before anything is charged.
Telling us about a problem
Text or call (248) 440-7357, or email admin@timelessrides.us. It helps to say which page you were on and what you were using: a screen reader, keyboard only, zoom, a phone. A sentence is enough, and a person will answer.
